Press Feature: Working Mom Magazine

I know this is a uber late post, but still I want to share Working Mom's Party Feature last October 2013 , and we mentioned there too! Yay!

The theme was Milk and Cookies Party! Don't you love this idea? I'll try to recreate this with my daughter's party for her soon to be buddies (she's still a baby now)

A Shabby-Chic Birthday Party

This is a repost from Alice's Wonderland Blog by Ms. Bambi Hernandez.

Thanks for the feature! Fun Ideas below.. Enjoy!

A Shabby-Chic Twin Birthday Party (July 30, 2011)

Twins are double the fun and double the joy!
Sabrina and Samantha celebrated their 2nd Birthday in Shabby-Chic style, which the mom wanted to achieve by bringing a dose of the outdoor gardens in.  We transformed a penthouse residence into a land of floral prints, inspired by Rachel Ashwell’s world of “perfect imperfections.”
Mixed floral patterns for the linens, and brown garden parasols decorated with white lanterns flanked Sab & Sam’s dessert table.  White glass lanterns with flowers inside were the centerpieces for the tables.
Photos of the twins (taken by Karen Ilagan) were displayed on the tables together with fun facts about them.

Smurfs in Candyland Birthday Party

This was 2nd birthday of Jacob Marthy (Ms Mae's son - remember, Vintage Circus Party?)
I only have time now to post some details I knew from this party (with Ms Mae's permissions, of course).

Enjoy reading!

Jacob Marthy turns 2! Time flies sooo fast.. Last thing I remembered was his mom (Ms Mae) preparing for Jacob marthy's 1st birthday in Manila, and now in Kuwait!
Having less more time preparing and conceptualizing the party - we end up and agreed on "Smurfs in Candyland party" (She was torn between the two - so I suggested why not combine both themes :) clever uh? :)

Anyways, I knew less of the details - but I'll to give you details, ideas we had while preparing for the party.. And mind you, preparing for a party abroad -- it's really nth time harder than having it here in Manila.

She is an SP Mom too! I heard some good feedbacks and she quote way cheaper for decors, so I made an attempt to suggest her to Ms Mae.
I don't know much of the details they had for this event - but here are some photos :)

A Vintage Circus Birthday Party

This is a repost from my original blog - addicted2jakey

This is a party of one of my client.

Jacob Marthy is the 1st born of a client, Ms. Mae, a client of mine I met thru Fb. We just communicate during the whole ordering process via YM and e-mail exchanges.

Since she is now based abroad, she just asked us to deliver the giveaways directly to the venue (this is just a request I cannot say No :)
At the Makati Shangri-la, we get pass through the Service Door (back area) where all the cooking, etc happens inside the hotel. A Set-up Crew ID was given to us. I wish I took pictures of everything, but I'm quite pre-occupied with the whole delivery thing.
When I saw the Quezon Ballroom (setup time, around 12:30/1:00 pm), I told myself, it is really a special and grand birthday for Jacob :) and at the same time wondrin' who is her decorator/PP :)  (I've met her during the party -- read below)

We dropped off (me and Jojo) the items and texted Ms. Mae that will come back around 5:00 pm.
She ordered alot from us - from kiddie chairs down to the penholders (Imagine our AUV filled with her orders)
We came back at around 5:00 and instead of Service Area we parked at the Basement of the Hotel :)
I met Ms. Mae, and she introduced me to her friend, Ms. Claudine (she decorated the venue!)

Too bad, I didn't have any photo of Jacob..
Anyways, Happy Birthday Jacob Marthy!!

A Backyardigans Pirate Birthday Party

This is a repost from my original blog - addicted2jakey

*NOTE: Be prepared for a very looong post :)

Yay! At last, Jacob’s party was over – and it was a Blast! I’m so excited to share all the ideas, details and photos from his 2nd Backyardigans Pirate Party! Here are the details, enjoy!
Theme: Backyardigans Pirate Party My Jacob is soo into Backyardigans – thanks too Amos (nephew of our friend, Arnel) who gave the DVDs as a gift on his 1st birthday. I, personally thought of having its one episode as his theme for the 2nd party. I was torn between “Heart of the Jungle and “Pirate says Arrr” episodes – but with the venue we rented , Pirate theme fits!
(Note: 2nd party – it wasn’t a plan to have a 2nd birthday party as big as this [as I promised my husband last year :-)], but my mother requested to have a party (though not this grand) in Laguna since the 1st party was is Manila (Ortigas – click here for 1st Sesame Street Party).
Party Planning in Laguna (or Province, in general) or throwing a not so ordinary, unique party in the province is quite difficult to pull off! The suppliers are very limited, or if opt to bring them from Manila, the rate is waaay higher! I’m so glad I had close group of contacts (suppliers), and for second time in a row, they made Jacob’s party truly memorable and special for everyone.
