Review: Jacob's Party - Shakey's Shopwise Sucat

For Jacob’s 3^rd Birthday Party, we decided to avail Shakey’s Party Package. SP Forum helped me in preparing and deciding where to celebrate a simpler party for my Jakey.

Since Shakey’s Shopwise Sucat is the most convenient location for most of our guests, I asked my husband to inquire first thru phone regarding details of the party. They only require P1000 for reservation/blocking of time and date and settlement of half 1-2 weeks before the event.(We settled 90% of the total amount 2 weeks before the event). They gave Official Receipt (always ask, in case problem may arise). 

Time of the Party: 3-5 o'clock in the afternoon

I called up hours before the party to advise them I'll be dropping by some of the prizes, loots and table centerpieces for the party (which I prepared at home and ahead of time). They were very attentive (naman) when I came, and temporarily store the items on the 2nd floor and locked it. 

Since our party will start by 3pm, we arrive ahead of time, around 2:20-2:30 pm to prepare the things needed for party. Unfortunately, the 1st party (though theirs was already done) haven't left the venue yet! Ugghh.. They just left when we (me and my relatives went it to prepare the things). 

This problem was common for party with only an hour allowance for egress. 

So, when you book with them, be clear on what you really wanted regarding this matter. Jacob's party started around 3:30 pm (30minutes late) and most of our guests were already inside waiting for the program.

We initially avail 6 Monster Meal Package which includes:

 (but added 2 more monster deal). We had 75-80 guests more or less.

And served buffet style.

1 Monster Meal costs P2205.00

We also need to avail their party package (that includes the lootbag with some prizes) for P3900.00

Since my husband isn’t keen on details of the party, I went back and talked to one of the coordinators (look for AJ) and laid out all my queries and I’m glad he satisfied me with his answers.

Theme: They were strict on themes (I learned from SP Forum some branches allow other themes) He gave me 2 options: Barney and Justice League. I chose Justice League.

That includes themed party lootbags and some prizes, and a tarpaulin in-theme.

Tarpaulin: It was qite OK since I don't want to spend money on Tarpaulin. The crew just stick Jacob letter cutouts w/ double-sided tape.. At some point, one of the letter fell off :( 

*Remind them to stick it carefully. Otherwise no big deal with me.

Décor:

Initially I wanted to get an outside supplier, but they will charge me P1000 for the corkage (too bad) So I just availed their in-house supplier for the décor service for P2000.00. That includes:

• Balloon Drops
• 2 Balloon Pillars
• Some floor decors (loose balloon drops) 
• 1 Balloon burst (I advised them to put 5 notes inside for special prizes)

I love it for P2000 worth of decors :)

I wanted more decors, so I told them I woould be bringing balloons for them to decorate it 1 day ahead. Bought these from Divisoria.

Table centerpieces were from Handicrafts,atbp (separate blog for this). Balloons were added at the back of the centerpieces.

Since, its just a 2-hour party, I decided not to prepare Candy/Dessert Station, but to have an entrance favors for all the guests. (also, I don't want to deal with extra corkages :))
I asked the crew to prepare an entrance table for Jacob's extra loots. (all from Handicrafts,atbp and Divisoria)

Party hosts:

2 Shakey's Crews (Jezsa and Carlo) attended and handled Jacob Party. I'm super satisfied with the way they handled the party. Though the games were simple, I could see on our guests' faces and laughs that they were enjoying the party.

They prepared a simple program for the party:

 Prayer: was lead by my sis-in-law, Hannah

After the games, guests were asked to have their meal - served buffet style.

Then after eating time:

Time with Capt. Shakey's! I though Jacob would get scared - but, Jakey loves Capt. Shakey's! He kept on hugging him (haha). He danced afterwards.

Cake Blowing:

I just availed Shakey's cake (to avoid hassle) . It's from Iko's Bakeshop for P1500.00 (1 rectangular cake with 12 free cupcakes).

The design was OK (I'm not really into fancy cake since it's Jacob's 3rd bday (na naman). I just bought sparkling candles from Divisoria.

(Oh, I'm very much pregnant, hehe)
